Women’s struggles are diverse and complex, ranging from persistent gender-based violence and economic inequality to political exclusion and the digital divide. While progress has been made in some areas, these challenges highlight the ongoing need for systemic change, policy reform, and global solidarity in the fight for gender equality. Empowering women and ensuring their rights and opportunities is not just a women’s issue; it is essential for creating a more equitable and just world for all

Globally, women and girls often face structural inequalities, including restricted access to education, healthcare, employment, and political participation. Ruth Joseph-Audu Women Foundation aims to address these disparities by advocating for and providing support to help women achieve equality.

That is What Drives Us

At RJA Women Foundation

Ruth Joseph-Audu Women Foundation was established in 2018 as a dedicated community service initiative. Our vision is to empower, train, and mentor women, equipping them to confidently face and overcome challenges in every phase of life. Our mission is to cultivate a generation of strong, capable, and productive women who are ready to make a lasting impact.

Our Vision

Our vision is to uplift and empower women through training, mentoring, and empowerment programs. We believe that when women are equipped with the right tools and mindset, they can reach their full potential and create meaningful change in their communities. We are committed to ensuring that every woman, regardless of her background, has the resources she needs to thrive.

Our Mission

At the Ruth Joseph-Audu Women Foundation, we are dedicated to promoting gender equality and supporting women and girls through various impactful initiatives. Our mission is to help women become productive, self-reliant, and confident in their abilities. From business training for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to providing loan facilities for business sustainability, our programs are designed to foster economic growth and self-sufficiency.

Empowering women has proven to lead to positive social and economic development. Studies show that when women are educated, employed, and able to make decisions, they contribute significantly to the economic growth and social well-being of their families, communities, and nations.

Reducing Poverty

Women, particularly in developing countries, are disproportionately affected by poverty. Programs that empower women by providing skills training, access to credit, or education can help lift women out of poverty and reduce overall poverty levels.

By educating women and girls about hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention, our foundation contribute to healthier families and communities.

Our foundation focuses on improving women’s access to healthcare, especially in the areas of maternal and reproductive health. This includes providing access to family planning services, prenatal care, and support during childbirth, which significantly improves women's health and survival rates.

We Progressively Empower All Our Women

Creating opportunities for women to take leadership roles in their communities, governments, and workplaces.

Facilitating programs that equip women with essential workplace skills, empowering them to contribute confidently and effectively in any field.

Supporting women’s participation in politics and civic engagement thereby strengthening democratic processes

Educating and empowering women leads to stronger families, better-educated children, and healthier societies. Women who are empowered to pursue careers and education often serve as role models for the next generation of girls, creating a cycle of empowerment.

We Believe in the Good Work that We Do

We provide safe spaces, raises awareness for policy change, and collaborates with communities to drive sustainable change. Through these efforts, women are equipped to become leaders and contributors in all areas of society.
